What would you do with an 8th day in your week?

A day with no clinic, no calls, and nobody needing a decision from you. That's what twelve weeks of proper work on the practice buys back. Ten owners per cohort, one plan each, built from your own numbers.

The gap

You've built something good. The next version of it leans on you less.

I built my first practice on effort. Long days, every decision routed through me, and a genuine belief that working harder was the whole plan. It grew. It also nearly finished me.

The second one I built differently, and it ended up with the highest margin in the southern hemisphere. Same medicine. Different structure underneath.

Here's what took me years to see. I thought tight numbers, team friction and no time were the problems. They're symptoms. It's the same logic as a dog presenting unwell in your consult room. You know something's off, and until you run the bloods you're guessing at the cause.

Most good practices carry one structural problem that's quietly producing three or four visible ones. Find that one, and the rest gets easier than you'd expect.

How the twelve weeks run

Clarify. Simplify. Amplify.

The same three phases for every practice. A different plan for yours.

Clarify

Weeks 1 to 4

We go to the data and find the problem causing the problem. Your P&L, your roster, your missed charges, your wages as a percentage of turnover. By week four you can see the structure sitting under the practice, often for the first time.

Simplify

Weeks 5 to 8

The plan gets small enough to actually do. Three to five levers, in the order that suits your practice. Roughly half a day a week comes back first, so there's room to act on any of it.

Amplify

Weeks 9 to 12

Now we coach the doing. Fortnightly small-group calls, your KPIs reviewed on video, and Shane Barker, the coach who holds owners to the doing, asking the question that matters: what's stopping you?

Why it sticks this time

Implementation is the product.

You've read the books and sat through the workshops. You probably know more about running a practice than most owners ever will. What's missing is the doing.

So the whole thing is built around that. Ten owners moving on the same timeline. Fortnightly calls about what actually got done. A cohort small enough that going quiet gets noticed, kindly, by nine other people who know exactly why you went quiet.

Sally had the same doubt you might be having right now.

“I actually worried this whole thing might be a scam. But then, at the very first event, I realised we were capturing missed charges everywhere. Within the first event, we'd made back most of the 12 months' worth of investment.”

Nothing here needs a second job. We ask for 1 to 2 hours a week, and the first thing we work on is finding you that time.

Fit

Built for a particular kind of owner

Better said now than four weeks in.

This suits you if…

  • You own an independent practice, years 5 to 15 in, turning over $500K or more
  • It works, and you can feel the ceiling
  • You'll put the real numbers on the table
  • You'll try a new approach before deciding it won't work for you

Probably not, if…

  • You want a course to watch on your own
  • Your margins are negative and you're weighing up closing. Apply anyway and we'll point you to the right starting place, which may not be this
  • You'd rather not hear what isn't working

The investment

$9,000 AUD plus GST, as three monthly instalments of $3,000. Owners in New Zealand, Canada and the United States pay the AUD figure at whatever rate your card gives you on the day.

What happens next

Fill in your details below, then pick a time with Sam on the next page. Then you have a conversation, and that's all it is. You'll work out whether this fits your practice. He'll work out whether the timing is right for you. If it isn't, he'll say so and point you somewhere better. There's no hard sell here, and there never has been.

No payment now. No obligation either way.

Common questions

I'm already working 60 hours. Where does this fit?
That's the reason it works, honestly. We ask for 1 to 2 hours a week, and the first phase is spent finding that time inside the week you already have. Most owners get roughly half a day back, which more than covers the time the program asks for.

I've done programs before and nothing stuck.
Then you already know the difference between information and implementation. The cohort, the fortnightly calls, the KPI reviews and Shane all exist for one job: making sure the change gets done this time. You can't quietly fall off. We notice, and so do the other nine.

What can twelve weeks realistically do?
Enough to read your numbers properly, build a 90-day plan you'll actually follow, and start putting it into the practice. Lisa Brisbane's $895,000 profit increase took 25 months in the AMG. The twelve weeks is where a trajectory like that starts.

What does it cost?
$9,000 AUD plus GST, as three instalments of $3,000. When you went to uni, did you have the money to pay for it? You made an investment to get the degree that taught you to be a Vet. There are three sciences here. Vet science, business science, life science. You've already invested in the first one.
